Reflection
Keeping track of progress and provide feedback to help those, including superheroes, to advance quicker.
I use Edmodo to keep track of students' progress. Edmodo have a grade book function to track assignments and quizzes. On top of tracking points, I can also assign badges, a different tracking system, to keep track of behaviors and alternate score keeping. There is a poll function that I use to solicit feedback on group progress, impression of the course in general and difficulties of quizzes and assignments.
If over 50% of students shown that they are having a difficult time understanding the requirement of an assignment and it correlate with student grades, I will send these group of students with an email to get more information to determine if it is an Instruction, assignment, technical, and/or content issue.
For example, if the issue is on the instruction itself, I will simplify the instruction along with graphic example. However, I found that if students willing to read the instruction carefully the first time, it should eliminate majority of their problem.
