Saving the world is not for everyone and so is online training, therefore, please review the “Is Online Learning for Me?” before accepting this training. It is really for your own good! Also, good guys should have good attitude either in person or virtual space. Please review the Netiquette so that you can act appropriately through this 11-week training. There are several ways you can get a hold of me. You can email me through Edmodo or call me at (408) 962-6468. Sincerely, Luke W. CommentaryI have never use a welcome email for any of my on ground classes until I completed one for the @One Online Teaching certificate class. I found it extremely useful and it works great side by side with the course syllabus. It is sort of like an advance notice for students so that they can have more time to evaluate if they are ready for online classes. They can also ask the instructor questions in advance so that they can be prepare on the first day of school. Especially for the Ai online courses that only run for 5 1/2 weeks, early mental preparedness is the key to success.
As someone who believe putting fun in learning will improve student success rate, I like to write informally and framing the class more like a game rather than a class. It is why I framed my class as a superhero online training camp to fight alien invasion. |
