Bob vs bob from Luke Kwan
I enjoy reading Daniel Pink's books from "Drive," "A Whole New World," to "When." All books are excellent, with strong hypotheses backed by scientific studies.
But after reading "The Adventures of Johnny Bunko," it becomes my favorite not just because it is presented in comic book format (who doesn't like comic books :)), but more importantly, it really sums up a lot of essential concepts and ideas into an easy to understand bite-size info. This book served as a good springboard for readers to further research their interest on their own which will create a more profound learning opportunity for its readers. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! https://www.danpink.com/books/johnny-bunko/ I did an interview with a local San Francisco Chinese radio show to promote e-NABLE service to Chinese speaking community. The interview aired on 09/19/2017. (start at 65:30) I used the Media FAQ to help prepare for the interview.
Monoprice has some great 3d printers that are very affordable. I have been using my Monoprice Maker Ultimate 3D Printer for about a month and am very happy with it.
I also backed their first delta printer on indiegogo which is very affordable and portable. it also comes with Simpify3d slicing software and filaments!! I will provide an update when I receive it in August.
Just got me an Acer Chromebook for less than $120. I have always interested in getting the first-hand experience on how Chromebook performance using Google App, TinkerCAD and other web tools for education.
It will be wonderful if summer camp or after-school programs can provide each student with a Chromebook to learn all the cool tools like 3d modeling, 3d printing, coding and etc., and give it to students at the end of the camp/semester so that they can continue their fun learning adventure at home! So far, all tools I tested runs smoothly. Very promising tool! |
